Hyper8 2021 Race Recap

As 2021 comes to an end we wanted to say thanks and send out a little recap on how our racing went this year. In a word “fantastically”. We are super grateful for the opportunity to take a motorcycle we built and put it on the track to see how we could stack up. We had some good competition in our class and even experimented this year with running our bike in the next bigger class for a few rounds. We managed to make it to 8 of the 11 rounds (5 of which were new tracks for me) and we pulled off 2nd overall in the AHRMA Battle of the Twins 2 Championship.

Battle of the Twins 2 (BOT2) is air cooled twins up to 900cc which is where our HyperMotard 796 (with 840cc kit) fits. We also tried our hand in the BOT1 class which is air cooled twins unlimited CC’s and did pretty well there as well. We had a couple crashes but nothing major. Looking forward to next season already with the first round happening at Daytona, FL in one week. We are also in the process of building a new bike to race in the BOT1 class sometime later this season.
